Graduate student orientation is an online experience to introduce you to the extensive resources available to help you succeed. Here, you'll get to know key campus offices, strategies for success, answers to frequently asked questions, and more.

Submit your enrollment deposit.

To secure your spot as a Widener student, you must first submit your enrollment deposit. Enrollment deposits can be submitted online, by phone, or by mailing a check. Checks should be made payable to Widener University.

Activate your Widener account.

Your myWidener account is a gateway to communications with Widener. This is how you receive your official student email address and gain access to other important resources like the Canvas learning management system.

You will need your university ID number in order to create your account. If you need assistance locating your ID number, please call 610-499-4282.

Submit your financial aid information (FAFSA).

Submitting the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) will help us determine whether you qualify for financial aid.

Secure your housing, if needed.

While Widener does not offer on-campus housing for graduate students, there are a few Widener-affiliated housing options available near campus. Our team can also help connect you with local housing opportunities should you need assistance getting settled near to Widener.

Create your new student ID (Campus1Card).

Log into the system using your Widener username and password. If you experience any issues creating your ID, please email campus1card@widener.edu.

*Most students will receive their Campus1Card ID in the mail prior to the start of the semester. PT and OT students will receive their IDs on campus at arrival.

Widener ID cards are issued from Widener's security office in Lipka Hall located at the corner of 14th & Potter St. If you have any questions or would like to create your ID in person on campus, please stop by Lipka Hall. Call 610-499-1018 to confirm hours of operation.

You will be notified directly if you are required to submit health forms prior to attending Widener. If you are required to submit forms, Student Health Services can assist with any questions.

Purchase a parking pass. 

To park in one of our on-campus lots, you'll need to have a parking hang tag. Permits are valid for the academic year, expiring the last day in August.

Interested in dining on campus? Commuters and off-campus students are offered a select group of meal plans specifically tailored with flexibility in mind.

For employees of Widener educational partners, complete an employer verification form. 

Widener partner with local companies and organizations to offer discounted rates to their employees. If you are an employee at one of these companies, you may be required to complete an employer verification form.

FAQs

Physical therapy, occupational therapy, human sexuality studies, and PsyD students will be automatically registered by the university for their classes.

Engineering, business, education, and social work students will be contacted by the affiliated academic department to register for classes.

If you’re having trouble with technology, don’t worry—help is always available! You can reach out to our 24/7 technology support through QuickTicket or by calling Client Experience (CX) for your campus. They can assist with issues like accessing course materials, troubleshooting software, or navigating Widener’s online platforms.
