About Me

I have always been a nurturing helper who enjoyed helping others grow. This led me to pursue psychology and counseling, with a specific interest in survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. During my counseling career, I quickly learned that I enjoyed the education and prevention aspect of counseling, leading me to explore options in doing education work.

I found my passion for supporting college students through being a Resident Assistant, Admissions Ambassador, and Graduate Resident Director. As a first generation college student, I always valued the guidance I received from the staff and faculty on my campuses and hoped to be that resource for someone else. As I transitioned from counseling into higher education, I realized that academic advising, particularly with undecided students, is the perfect mixture of counseling and education. My main goal in this role is to help students explore their interests and help them set themselves up for future success while also reminding them that it is okay to not have it all figured out!

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family; particularly my rescue pittie, Franklin. I like to crochet, read, consume any form of true crime media, craft, travel, and attend concerts (if you want to talk Taylor Swift or Harry Styles with someone, visit my office)!
