What is the CARE Team?
- We are a central network of faculty and staff members focused on caring, prevention, and early intervention for students experiencing serious distress or engaging in harmful or disruptive behaviors.
What kind of student behaviors should I refer?
- Refer any student whose behaviors are troublesome, including but not limited to, marked decline in academic performance, poor attendance or sleeping in class, disruptive or argumentative inside or outside of class, dramatic changes in behavior, student writing or verbalizations that talk about hurting self or others, student writing or verbalizations that talk about not being able to function (e.g., go to class, sleep, eat, get out of bed, complete academic work).
