Who is the CARE Team? 

The CARE Team is a group of dedicated faculty and staff members who are committed to your personal well-being and academic success. They’re your campus support squad, ready to connect you with the resources that you or a friend need the most. Whatever you’re going through, a CARE Team member is a safe space for caring support and guidance. 

Why & When to Reach Out 

At Widener, we believe in the importance of taking care of ourselves and each other. Being part of our community means looking out for one another, especially when someone might be struggling. The CARE Team is here to support you or a friend by connecting you with the right resources when facing these or other challenges:

  • Academic Struggles: Feeling lost in your classes or having trouble keeping up with assignments?
  • Emotional Distress: Feeling anxious, depressed, or struggling with your mental health in general?
  • Behavioral Changes: Noticing changes in your mood, sleep patterns, or appetite?
  • Thoughts of Self-Harm: Having thoughts of hurting yourself or others?
